I spent some time a while back getting ProWes working from DD disks. This works on my Black Box QL + Gold Card, and it works from the startup disk on my Pentium PC with QPC. However, it seems to take an age before anything begins to happen ... at first I thought the machine had just locked up. I haven't got it running directly from the win_drive version of ProWes. Perhaps I need to get the latest version downloaded. I agree that the font calculation is the cause of the delay ... is the configuration straightforward for no precalculated fonts ? -- Malcolm Cadman
