Question.

In my PSA files (as I call them in case PIC files are in a different format from the partial save areas defined in Jochen's QPTR manual) I use 4 or 0 in byte 12 to indicate mode 4. How does a PIC file do this? I use 32 and 33 to indicate these GD2 modes. There seems to be the possibility of confusion here in the coding of GD2 modes 0, 4 and 8. Does anyone know how PIC files cope here?

This is something which I am trying to get agreement on.  My last proposal was to use byte 9 to store 1 for GD2 mode in a PIC file (the mode is stored in byte 8).  Where do you get the partial save area definition from (page number please), as I thought this used the same definition as for a PIC file (possibly it stores the original origin location which does not form part of a PIC header).

George, it seems as though we are working on a similar project, can you email me privately with a copy of your save and restore code please, so I can adopt a similar style for my own routines, or maybe use yours instead!!
