Hi,
To start with the hardware:
have you configured jumpers on the CDRom drive to be the slave drive with the hard disk configured as the master
then onto the software:
have LRESPRed both the ATAPIqub_bin & the CDROM_bin in that order, both are needed.
CDR_DRIVE 1,1,1 is correct for the setup with the CDROM as slave and hard disk as master.
Next configuration of the ATAPI drivers with menuconfig. These need to be configured for the IDE registers base address.
I use 4FFF00 which I think is the default, may be not as I remember playing about with it.
Thats all the setup. It works for me. My system is Aurora SuperGoldcard SMSQ/E2.89 Qubide 2.01 hardisk as master and cheap 52xCDROM as slave.
If you have the same setup then your CDROM drive may be faulty. It would then be worth while trying another.

If you want I can send you the latest version of QCDEZE which is at 1.07c. email me privately if you would like it.

Duncan

Hi,
I have installed the rom_drive,upgraded Qubide, downloaded atapi files and qcdeze and I believe I have configured them correctly, but on boot up ,it stops at CDR_DRIVE 1,1,1 with the message "medium check failed".
Can anyone tell me where I have gone wrong.

Arnie.
