Funny thing, nostalgia, it's so selective.Selective ...? yes, one tends to forget the bad things much faster than the positive things... and, I have to say that the positive side of the QL scene outweights the negative bits many times and I wouldn't want to miss any of the many years in the QL scene.
I must say that when I started there were several crooks and I had quite negative experiences (people selling my software and never paid me)... and there were problems. I don't remember the name of the first dealer (three letter abbreviation) where it was worst, but there have been problems with people like Ultrasoft ... and the German QL club was, after the initiators left, pure chaos.
Everything has improved over the years, it has all become more friendship instead of competition (I think this in itself is fairly unique) and, thinking about it, I'd really say that there was far more positive than negative - in every single year.
Just the many friendships are worth so much ....
