In theory QWord should work with any QTYP dictionary, but there are a couple
of snags. The grids are optimised to generate English words and would need
modifying for other languages. Not a big problem as I already have the
information to do this for Dutch, French, German and Italian and with some
effort could do it for Spanish. The other problem is that QWord cannot
handle accents. Again not such a big problem as in these countries word
puzzles do not use accents. It would mean writing special "accentless" QTYP
dictionaries. Again easily done, but a little time consuming.

We are seriously considering a French version of QWord and it would be very
easy to add a Dutch version (hint, hint, Rich). However as you will
understand our first priority is to get the English version in production.

Best Wishes,
Geoff Wicks.

PS I am fairly near the end of a lengthy process of improving and increasing
the range of QTYP dictionaries. These are Danish, Dutch, French, German,
Italian, Norwegian, Spanish, Swiss German, UK English and USA English.
Details will be in my next QL Today advert. The latest Dutch one has
180,000+ words. If you want this I could email it privately.
