I really don't mind at all. In fact, it would be nice to see other people (programmers / traders) publish the status of their software (updates, upgrades, bugfixes, version, where to find it), be it commercial or not. - This is my opinion only, of course.
Programmers and Traders stuff is fine with me ... as we only really have this one this for everything.
It is a convenient way of getting updated alerts.
