I have a q60 with 2 Io-cards. Recently I bought a second harddisk and a a cdrw drive for the machine.
Unfortunatly I had problems. fiiting the hard disk was no problem. I intended to do all the formatiing partioning
etc under linux. On booting linux on the machine the foolwing message "lost interupt " was observed several times
during bootup until eventual linux could get at the harddisk. I did create some partions on the disk using Atari-fdisk
but was unable to make them usable under linux using mke2fs which hang in the middle making a
hard reset essential . On trying to install the CD drive similar bootup messages were observed.
I then installed the Cdrive in place of of my original cd drive no problems were seen.
Is there apart from a dodgy Io card any explanation for my problems
I did not try to access the cd drive under qdos , but trying to access under linux gave seek errors.
Has anyone else had similar problems when trying to upgrade their q60 as I am baffled.
