This is somewhat odd.
I built QlandkarteGt from svn 3 hrs ago on Ubuntu 8.10 without error.
I'm using libgdal 1.5.2-2. My Ubuntu installation is an upgrade not a
clean install.
It loads garmin maps fine but it won't connect to my etrex legend. I get
an error about driver mismatch.
The driver is the one it found from Qlandkarte. I presume I'll need the
separate Garmin drivers ported one when it gets to svn?

The gdal version is 1.5.2-2 (The one distributed with ubuntu 8.10)

BTW bzrudi, you seem to have a more recent version of gdal (1.5.0). 1.4.x is
quite outdated. GDAL is now at 1.5.3. and there have been crucial changes to
the lib.
