Hi Dan, Michael and Albrecht, thanks for packaging. I would suggest to use the current svn version. There was a small bug in the GPX output making the files unreadable for MapSource. Probably not that serious for Linux users but why publishing it when it's fixed.
Probably I will do a very fast 0.17.1 release, once I get the missing translation updates (ru, it, es). Thus it's a good idea to test and report on the list or via private mail. A good chance to get the bugs killed fast. After 0.17.1 the next release should take some time. I plan to stir towards 1.0.0 which means fixing as much UI glitches as possible.
