Hmmm, can you tell me /how/ to convert lonlat to GK? Is that possible with gdaltransform or proj? I guess it's in the man page, but if you know the command offhand... ;-)

Should be. The ratio SizeX vs. SizeY can be calculated from the ratio of the "rectangle", and the WMS scale hint might give the divisor... Thanks, Albrecht.
