As always integrating a new library into the windows build may block a
release for unknown time depending on my personal schedule.
For this particular case I am quite optimistic: I expect that
integrating lua5_1_4_Win32_vc9_lib.zip from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/luabinaries/files/5.1.4/Windows%20Libraries/
should not be a big issue.
I will try in the next days or weeks and report my results.
I propose that you wait for that until you make the final decision.

Basically, the same applies for Mac OS X... Pre-built binaries are available
only for Intel and at least 10.6 (Snow Leopard). Building a separate package
for 10.4 and above doesn't look too complicated, but requires some extra effort.

QtScript, otoh, is available in Qt 4.6 (the latest version officially
supporting the PPC and 10.4), and should therefore run *anywhere* without any
extra hassle.

Just my € 0.01, though...

Best,
Albrecht.
