Hello,

I found the problem. It seems to be a Ubuntu 14.04 bug according to

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/appmenu-qt5/+bug/1307619

After Deinstall appmenu-qt5 is the Menu bar working again.
Open Terminal:
sudo apt-get remove appmenu-qt5

That worked for me

Thanks
Andreas

Andreas,

I use Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon, and I able to view menu bar. Look like theme issue. Does menu not present on top of display like it doing at the Classic Ubuntu?

    Hi Andreas,

sounds to me like a theme issue. Either Qt5 has a bug for you theme or
the menu bar is hidden very well. Maybe it is handled like the
    menu bar
    on Android devices.
