sorry I misread your initial post. You are talking about the vertical size. I
was thinking of the horizontal one.
Yes, the Debian maintainer is right. The minimum vertical size is something
around 800 pixel. It depends a
bit on the used Qt theme. This is because all elements used on the main screen
sum up to that size.
Years ago I spent some time to reduce the size, but I never managed to drop
below 800px without
changing the GUI significantly.
That experience went into the design of QMapShack, using docking windows for
all panels. QMapShack's
minimum size is 630x430. Maybe you want to give QMapShack a try.
