Thank you Oliver.

Converting *.tif files to *.vrt seems like an 
unnecessary complication for me, when I can use 
the GeoTiff files in QlandkartGT without 
interference.  QlandkartGTfulfils all my needs and 
I find it more user friendly - a great program!.  
I have followed the development of QMapShack with 
interest and anticipation.  I compliment you on 
all the work you have put into it.
