Hey Mailing List, I really like Qlgt, but there ist one thing, that bugs me. Many waypoint-icons from Qlgt can't be displayed at my Garmin Oregon 650.
I figured out, that my Garmin Oregon obviously doesn't import the icon itself, but obviously just the name of the icon - to replace it with a own icon with the same name (if you are lucky). For example did I import a own customized car-icon in the WaypointIcons-Folder of Qlgt and named it Auto.png. Then I uploaded a waypoint with this icon to my Garmin. My Garmin device itself had no icon with this name and replaced it with a small blue flag (it always does, when it has no icon with the relevant name). Afterwards I renamend the car-icon in the WaypointsIcons-Folder to Car.png ...and after another round of uploading the same icon (with differnt name) to my Garmin, it replaced my car-icon from Qlgt with its own car-icon. So I've got a problem. I don't care, if my Garmin replaces my car with another one...and my tent with another tent. But it's almost impossible to guess how the name of the relevant Garmin-icon is. It's try and error and mostly it's error. I tried to get in the icons folder of my garmin und then in the icons folder of garmin basecamp for checking the names of the icons' files. But I couldn't find them. Can somebody help me out? Thank you!
