Hi Axel, no, you need access to the server. Either via network, or you install the server on your laptop and access it as localhost.
In the meantime I wrote a few lines in the Wiki. Including a short discussion of the pro and cons using the one or the other database: "You can choose between a SQLite database or a MySQL database. For a single user or an installation on a laptop with no permanent access to a network, SQLite is the better choice.
