Good evening,

I have upgraded from Linux Mint 17.3. Cinnamon to Mint 18.
As a result I have moved from QLandeKarteGT to QMapShack V1.51.

In general very impressed with QMapSHack but I can't seem to make it
display grid references in OSGB format.
In GT I could do this by entering the short form "+init=epsg:27700 "
or using the expanded string
"+proj=tmerc +lat_0=49 +lon_0=-2 +k=0.9996012717 +x_0=400000
+y_0=-100000 +ellps=airy +datum=OSGB36 +units=m +no_defs"

Although QMapShack accepts either of these in the Grid settings, and
retains them if I close down and restart QMapShack the grid references
remain as Lat and Lon.

I am a novice using this type of software as I haven't had a need for
them before now. I suspect I am making an elementary mistake so would
appreciate any guidance.

I know I could just work with Lat and Lon but it would be useful to be
able to also use OSGB as I am much of what I am doing ties back to OSGB
maps and this would reduce the need to keep converting.

Thanks in anticipation.

Andrew Freeman
