All my Linux boxes do not suffer that problem. I guess it's a limitation
of the graphics system regarding high color cursor icons, because the
semi-transparent cursor shadow is not rendered correctly. But I do not
know what to change in the setup of the machine to change it. And so far
no one suffering the problem cared enough to investigate.
