Hi Guido, that patch was intended as a start for you because you said you do not know where to add that feature.
Before you start please have a look at https://bitbucket.org/maproom/qmapshack/wiki/DeveloperCodingGuideline and https://bitbucket.org/maproom/qmapshack/wiki/DeveloperCommitCode So far you are the only one that came up with that request. So it's up to you to add that feature. As an alternative you can file a request issue in the issue tracker. Maybe you are lucky and some day someone is doing the work for you.
