Hi Ivo,

that sounds a bit like preparing tracks for the OSM database. Afaik OSM 
supplies a bunch of very good tools for that task. That's why I always left 
this part out of QLandkarte/QMapShack.

Technically it's possible. But it will be quite a change. Is it really worth 
it?
