Hello Harry AFAIK there have been no changes concerning VRTs from QMS 1.15.2 to 1.16.0. It is in PROJ where the changes have been made, and unfortunately proj 8.0 came with a bug which is probably the cause of your problem (see here <https://github.com/OSGeo/PROJ/issues/2866>). Take in mind that this bug was reported on Sept 24 (just one day before your first message), and it was fixed the same day. Fine!
So, I insist on what I suggested before: - Download the latest development version of PROJ 8.1,1 compile it, and your problem will be solved with no need to patch the QMS code. The latest means the latest from here <https://github.com/OSGeo/PROJ>, not the PROJ 8.0 you got earlier. ... I have done it and it works for me with your sample map :-) That said, you can also perform the checks proposed by Oliver , which will surely be good information for developers, who can't test every user's case. ;-)
