If you still have the VM, would you mind to load my .gpx sample files
once to verify, if the problems reproduce with Debian 12.12 for you?
Otherwise I will try on another machine with 12.12, but even that will
have to wait some days. Sorry.

I installed no more packages - I used the fresh initial Debian 12.12
installation. I used then the latest QMapShack.AppImage V_1.19.
There are no error or warning message when starting QMapShack.AppImage.

As said - please start QMapShack.AppImage with a fresh QMS environment
and setup your personal environment step by step and check after each
step.
May be a track is invalid, because fatal error occurs in track method
"deriveSecondaryData"
