Hi Karl,
I tried the new AppImage on two other machines running fully updated
Debian oldstable (12.12).
On the first machine (an old Core i5 laptop w/ Intel 4000 graphics, but
with 10 GB memory) QMS didn't even start, but threw:
felix@UBH2:~/Downloads$ ./QMapShack-x86_64.AppImage -d
--- QMapShack.AppImage starting
qt.qpa.plugin: From 6.5.0, xcb-cursor0 or libxcb-cursor0 is needed
to load the Qt xcb platform plugin.
qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in ""
even though it was found.
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could
be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl,
offscreen, vkkhrdisplay, vnc, wayland-egl, wayland, xcb.
/tmp/.mount_QMapShgiIonc/AppRun: Zeile 42: 49948 Abgebrochen
${APPDIR}/usr/bin/qmapshack "$@"
All machines are running Gnome Wayland, but I tried classic too on this
one.
On the second machine QMS was never used before. The AppImage started,
but failed identically to the very first (initial) machine on restart,
after loading the same .gpx files I sent to you.
I will try to upgrade to Debian 13 asap, but as I said, I have to deal
with some pressing other things first.
Nobody here on the list successfully using this AppImage on Debian stable?
Thanks
//Felix
