I fully agree with this idea, it's a strong feature in iPlanet/SunOne mail
server. This would be a key feature at least for ISP's to have.

Maybe it could take in an environment variable such as SENDREWRITE="MAIL"
(to rewrite a mail address once authenticated), or SENDREWRITE="USER" (to
replace the FROM: and Reply-To with USERNAME - my usernames are the email
address), or SENDREWRITE="REPLYTO" to pull a "reply-to" attribute from
that users ldap entry I suppose. If SENDREWRITE is set to "reply-to" with
no ldap attribute of "reply-to" for that user, then do nothing.

Anyway, some of my ideas.

I have retarded users which accidently mispell thier email address in
their "from" address within outlook, and thats why they never get mail
from people replying to their messages. It'll cut down on user error on
my end.
