Where and for what does it search? Let's say you have a user at acelerate.com having the username "joe". When using ipvirtualbasedn, he has to go to 200.105.128.37 (the IP you specified in ipvirtualbasedn), and authenticate with his username "joe". So the following should work, if ou=acelerate_org,ou=qmail_users,dc=acelerate,dc=org contains uid "joe". telnet 200.105.128.37 pop3 user joe pass password If not, please make sure you are using the patched auth_*. Try increasing loglevel, above 64 you should see the logs of the patch. Kristof
