Yes, for example migrating from vpopmail to qmail-ldap. We use separate basedn's to define specific ACI's for virtual domain trees (such as administrator of brunch A.com cannot add a user with mail address [EMAIL PROTECTED]). Of course, this can be achieved other ways, this approach is quite `vpopmail-ish'. For the IP-aliasing case it is necessary to have separate brunches, as long as uid conflicts may occur and you don't want your n thousand users to change their mail account settings. Kristof
