I use qmail-ldap and don't have any problems sending to hotmail. I suggest
you follow all the standard practices out there. Get your server off of
the blocker lists and go to each big provider and review their postmaster
requirements. You really do need to go over there and read the rules.
Start here: http://postmaster.msn.com/ There are NO SECRETS to getting
your mail to hotmail, just follow the rules.

I use qmail-ldap and take advantage of smtp_auth, relay client, rcptcheck
and maxrcptcount. I added maxrcptcount recently when I discovered clients
bulk emialing via bcc, even though I offer ezmlm. I also use the rblsmtpd
against

-r sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org -r bl.spamcop.net -r relays.ordb.org -r list.dsbl.org

Sometime ago, I put this together:

http://portfolio.cttechhosting.net/blog/archives/6-Getting-my-QMail-server-off-blacklists.html

This is my personal, tech fixes blog, it doesn't cover everything, just
how I got off of some blacklists so I wouldn't forget if it happened
again.

If you have set up your email server correctly, everyone will allow you to
send email. If you aren't getting email to hotmail, its one of two things
imho, either your server is misconfigured, or either you or someone on
your server is abusing email. I thought I was good until I discovered
clients abusing with BCC.

Hope that helps.
