If you need alias for multiply users, you may want to use mailgroups. ;)

I am sorry for not clarifying to the most that I could, but when using
the mailAlternateAddress, this email address can only be used for a
single user.

What I am trying to do, is create an email alias which is delivered to
multiple users.  I tried to use the normal .qmail alias files, which
only delivers internal mail sent to the alias.
