Tell you what - stop worring about /service/qmail-smtpd/run. Set QMAILQUEUE within the tcpserver area. cat /etc/tcpcontrol/smtp.rules :allow,QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl" In fact, to cut down on support issues, that will end up being the ONLY support method under Q-S v2 when it comes out. As you are seeing, the beauty with Unix is that there are more than one way of doing things.
