The problem only appeared when I tried to convert my setup to use
tcpserver's ability to set environment variables (like QMAILQUEUE) as
suggested by the latest docs.  The older style of adding the QMAILQUEUE
variable to the start script of qmail-smtpd worked just fine.  The vpopmail
user (that uses the roaming user option) has a choice of modifying the
vpopmail.c file and recompiling or use the older style of adding the
QMAILQUEUE variable.  I personally have switched back to my previous setup.

I will come up with a paragraph tomorrow that you can add to the FAQ.  I
don't have time today.
