Hi Folks,
I'm fairly new to all this so please bare with my
incompetence :) I'm using qmail, qmail-scanner, vpopmail, macafee.
I can send and receive normal emails with no
virus attachments, but as soon as I send an email with a virus attachment
nothing happens no response no nothing.
As you can see below by using
the ./contrib/test_installation.sh -doit test config by emailing 3
tests both scanners have the same problem that the emails with no
virus attachment are going through fine. I've spent hours trying to nut it out
and have given up. I'm ready to remove the whole mailserver scanning feature and
just rely on the virus protection on the windoze workstations.
Any help you can offer to help me sort this
headache problem out will be much appreciated.
Many kind regards,
Darren
Sending standard test message - no
viruses...
done! Sending eicar test virus - should be caught by
perlscanner module...
qmail-inject: fatal: unable to exec qq (#4.3.0) qmail-inject: fatal: unable to exec qq (#4.3.0) done! Sending eicar test virus with altered filename -
should only be caught by commercial anti-virus modules (if you have
any)...
