Will probably look at a new virus scanner when our Network Associates
license is up for renewal, (they refuse to develop a daemonised
version).

Currently have two boxes doing the task in a DNS round-robbin scenario.
Will be adding another shortly, but it will be slightly reconfigured to
take advantage of an extra internet pipe.

Found that the problem was alleviated by turning off redundant scanning.
Some tips suggested to me by someone who replied off-list, got me to
think in a different direction.
