Hi all,
I've just installed QS on a fresh server, and was looking to try out
clamscan. However, while it appears QS runs, the qmail-queue.log file
doesn't show clamscan running at all. Here's a snippet:
18/08/2003 15:48:57:12592: +++ starting debugging for process 12592 by
uid=0 at 18/08/2003 15:48:57
18/08/2003 15:48:57:12592: setting UID to EUID so subprocesses can
access files generated by this script
18/08/2003 15:48:57:12592: program name is qmail-scanner-queue.pl,
version 1.16
18/08/2003 15:48:57:12592: s_q: re-create the quarantine version file
18/08/2003 15:48:57:12592: s_q: detecting version of clamscan
18/08/2003 15:48:57:12592: s_q: cleaning up old files via /usr/bin/find
/var/spool/qmailscan -type f ! -name '*.log' ! -name '*.txt'
! -name '*.db' ! -path '*/quarantine/*' -prune -mmin +2160 -exec
/bin/rm -f {} ;
Any ideas how I can approach this? I've got plenty of experience with
Sophos/Sophie and QS, but the client doesn't want to shell out the
bucks, so here we are.
The logs above look like they are from the installation.
The install looked for clamscan version, presumably found it, continued...
Did you -complete- the installation?
Did you try sending -mail- through the installation while examining log?
Does clamscan itself run from cmd line?
