I was curious by what criterion qmail-scanner's configure script determines that qmail has been compiled with guenter's qmailqueue patch?
I ask this because i have a server that I rent (www.rackshack.net which uses plesk 6) so I only have remote access to it and did not configure the original load myself. Qmail is already setup on that machine and I am hesitant to recompile qmail and unsure if the patch was used during the original install (there are some features added to qmail that i believe are definitely patched in). I used a qmail-scanner (1.16) RPM installer that i found on the net, and it worked fine (and it may have been this RPM that replaced my binaries with patched ones too). However I decided to try 1.20rc3 out before i get too many customers on the machine and need to be more conservative about changes... well when i ran 1.20rc3's configure script it told me i didnt have a patched qmail install? is it absolutely correct or is it possible that they (rackshack or plesk) have done a non-standard rpm install or build of the patched binaries in such a manner that qmail's configure script doesnt detect it... ???
1.16 is running fine on this system and its named qmail-scanner-queue.pl not renamed to qmail-queue like i've read can be done but "at risk of severely breaking things"...
TIA, Sean
