I hope Red Hat would as well, but I do think Dan has some cause for
concern on that score.  They've done things like ship unreleased beta
versions of Perl before, and caused other free software communities
support hassles because of it.  That's not to say that I disagree with you
about the importance of being able to release quick security patches, just
that Red Hat's reputation for moving away from the quick fixes and back to
mainline source as soon as possible isn't stellar.
