I have a weird feeling by now you've already wasted a lot of latency. Connect,
wait for 220 [not necessary], say qmtp, wait for 250, do qmtp. Unless the 250
doesn't come, in which case you'll start to talk SMTP.
Latency is created. Time is wasted. Strangers will laugh at you.
