Wrong answers, I have lots of those ;-)

The reason I install rpms instead of source is because I use RedHat and in the past
since I'm new to Linux I have had problems
understanding what the source really wants me to. I have many years of experience
with OS's and networks but after working with Linux
for 8 months this is what I have figured out. RedHat is great to get things up and
running, but to really know what is going on I need
to install Slackware or another distro which will allow me to learn in detail the
things that I now have an overview knowledge of.

Thanks again for responding and offering to help me...
Bob
