The purpose is to create a list that would announce qmail
show-stoppers. Someone has to decide what's worth putting on the
list, or every week the list will get messages from someone with
weitse's qmail-smtpd DoS attack. That sort of message only needs to
be seen once, and then it can become part of a FAQ.

Personally I hate what usenet is now. I don't find it useful anymore.
The active abuse of newsgroups and the need to maintain outrageous
numbers of rules to filter out junk has gotten to be more then it's
worth. qmail's mailing list works just fine at its current volume -
but dedicated lists of specific qmail-related topics seems like a good
idea.
