I have a virtual domain setup usin qmail on 'Machine A'. When I use 'Machine B' to telnet to 'Machine A' through port 25, I can send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] just fine. However if I use a mail program that uses sendmail to send the message to [EMAIL PROTECTED], there is a problem. After the message bounces back to me, I can see that it did contact 'Machine A' but when it tries issueing a RCPT to:[EMAIL PROTECTED] it says that it's an unknown user? Why can I telnet to port 25 and send messages that way, but sendmail can't. I'd always thought sendmail did nothing more that a telnet through port 25? What's going on here?
