I just upgraded my Linux system to RH 6.0, and not only it installs sendmail but it starts automatically at boot. At least during the previous upgrade it did not start sendmail automatically. After *stopping* and nuking sendmail, create the links ln -sf ../../var/qmail/bin/sendmail /usr/lib/sendmail ln -sf ../../var/qmail/bin/sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmail and optionally remove the dir /var/spool/mail Have fun Mate
