hi David,
you can (or even should) use fetchmail ( 
http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/fetchmail/) for that task. fetchmail is 
able to fetch (what a surprise) any number of pop3 accounts and 
pop3-multidrop and delivers the mail to a local MTA - which of course 
is qmail.
