Yes, I did run into that problem.  I increased the
limit and qmail started working fine, until I rebooted
the machine (accidentally hit the power switch :-)
It's odd that qmail will work after I restart it
manually.  The only difference between it starting
during the bootup scripts, and when I start it
manually, is that it's tied to a terminal when I start
it manually.  I'm not sure if that has anything to do
with it though.
