try
|bouncesaying "`cat filename`"
or
|bouncesaying "`printf 'line1\nline2'`"
you can also try some other tricks (echo 1%2 | tr '%' '\n'), but getting
this right tends to be hard.
Writing your own bouncesaying program isn't really complicated, though:
#! /bin/sh
echo line1
echo line2
exit 100
