The truth is as long as exchange is integrated with meeting and calendering tools the boss will pick it. They don't really care bosses need 3 things mail - meeting planning - calendering. If you want to combat MS and 99% of American Biz develop these tools. I've been in sys admin for a long time and that's the way it is right now.
