That's nonsense really, of course antivirus software wont stop everything,
but if you keep it up to date, it WILL stop quite a few emails from those
lovely M$ outlook users that are too often loaded with virusses. As for
your comment on a false sense of security, that's like saying, don't bother
wearing a bulletproof vest, it just creates a false sense of security. Like
saying, don't lock your door, it just creates a false sense of security. Of
course it doesn't help against everything, just like antivirus won't catch
every virus. Nothing is perfect!

As for a more usefull answer to the above question, try qmail-scanner, look
for it on freshmeat.net and follow the instructions, its not hard to set
up, and works just fine, if you keep your antivirus software up to date,
that is. I use qmail-scanner with Sophos on my mail server, so far, it
hasn't let a single virus email through.

Sorry if this email offended anyone, but imho, answers like "simple, don't
do that" are the dumbest answers you can give to a "how to do..." question!
If you don't have a constructive answer, just don't give an answer at all,
or if you really feel the need to reply, at least say WHY you feel that
way, not something stupid like "that don't work".
