I use Qmail, Courier IMAP, and SquirrelMail (www.squirrelmail.org). Its a
IMAP client, but since Courier is Maildir native, you can use it really
well with QMail. If you offer imap already, its a good option. Installation
is amazingly easy. (Needs PHP).
