I have an NT box that needs to send messages to the qmail server, I am using
IIS's SMTP server. Outlook Express is able to send messages to
ella.mills.edu (using chaka.mills.edu as the initial SMTP), but A1Monitor
(www.a1tech.com) doesn't seem to be able to. I have also tried using
ella.mills.edu both setups produce the errors you see below. Using the IIS
servers SMTP I get a message bouncing back and forth, if I send it to Ella
straight it fails to connect. What does status 256 mean I can't find it in
the docs anywhere.

2001-09-12 13:09:29.179176500 tcpserver: ok 10719
ella.mills.edu:144.91.3.20:25 chaka.mills.edu:144.91.3.100::1267
2001-09-12 13:09:29.313365500 tcpserver: end 10719 status 256

# less /etc/tcp.smtp
144.91.3.100:allow,RELAYCLIENT=""
144.91.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=""
127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=""

Thanks all.
