First off, please don't start a brand-new topic by replying to an
existing thread. It messes up the threading in our MUAs, and more
importantly, messes up the list archives as well.

20 minutes helps to ensure reliability on lesser networks. If you want
to lower some of the timeouts, that's fine -- but remember that RFC2821
section 4.5.3.2 states the minimum values you should use, and some are
as high as 10 minutes.
