Hi,
After a day of trying unsuccessfully to create a new (working)
mailing list with ezmlm using the included docs ezmlm.org / qmail.org, it has
come to posting to the list.
Environment: ezmlm-0.53 on FreeBSD 4.1-RELEASE
I followed the steps in the INSTALL file to make the list,
doing everything as local user except make setup, which I did as root. I had no
errors, except for the annoying bad return from main() warning, which I looked
up in the ML archives and found out was just that - an annoyance. I proceeded to
make my list and add two subscribers, then send the test mail from the command
line, following the instructions in INSTALL. No errors. Tried this a few times
and then when the mail still wasn't arriving, I checked the local user
Mailbox and saw this:
From MAILER-DAEMON Mon Feb 05 08:16:24 2001
Return-Path: <> Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Received: (qmail 65325 invoked for bounce); 5 Feb 2001 17:16:24 +0900 Date: 5 Feb 2001 17:16:24 +0900 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: failure notice Hi. This is the qmail-send program at warabi.nca.or.jp.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.1.1) --- Below this line is a copy of the message.
Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Feb 5 17:24:58 warabi qmail: 981361498.608734 starting
delivery 3507: msg 94718 to local [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Feb 5 17:24:58 warabi qmail: 981361498.609614 status: local 1/10 remote 0/20 Feb 5 17:24:58 warabi qmail: 981361498.637101 delivery 3507: deferral: ezmlm-send:_fatal:_temporary_qmail-queue_error/ Feb 5 17:24:58 warabi qmail: 981361498.637508 status: local 0/10 remote 0/20 (I tried creating shawn-info with ezmlm-make, then tried
sending to both [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
[EMAIL PROTECTED] . I also tried using both
nca.or.jjp and warabi.nca.or.jp when I created the list, but ran into the same
problems.)
Can anyone see what I am missing here?
Thanks for any help.
Shawn
