Ok, setting up under alias is what I want.

I tried to do this by su'ing to 'alias', but was not able to su, as the
shell for 'alias' is '/nonexistent'.
I then tried to set everything up as root and chown to alias.

This worked for the most part.
Now, in ~/alias, I have

lrwx------  1 root   qmail     34 Feb  6 11:02 .qmail-info@ ->
/usr/local/qmail/alias/info/editor
lrwx------  1 root   qmail     35 Feb  6 11:02 .qmail-info-default@ ->
/usr/local/qmail/alias/info/manager
lrwx------  1 root   qmail     33 Feb  6 11:02 .qmail-info-owner@ ->
/usr/local/qmail/alias/info/owner
lrwx------  1 root   qmail     35 Feb  6 11:02
.qmail-info-return-default@ -> /usr/local/qmail/alias/info/bouncer

The files to which the links point are chown alias.qmail , but the links
themselves are root.qmail . Is that ok?

When sending a message, I see this in the log file:
Feb  6 13:22:14 warabi qmail: 981433334.743425 new msg 94719

It seems as if qmail is looking for [EMAIL PROTECTED] as a local user account
rather than as a mailing list... if that makes sense.

Wondering where to go from here...

Shawn
